From 15 to 17 May 2024, the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC) took place at the Congress Center Basel and brought together 4,680 international participants from over 100 countries. The event provided a platform for medical education, knowledge sharing and networking to support the mission of the European Stroke Organisation: to reduce the burden of stroke and improve stroke care worldwide.

The Congress Centre Basel was chosen due to its central location, excellent international accessibility and the attractive funding opportunities offered by the canton. Special mention was made of the high quality of service provided by the dedicated catering team, which impressed with its proactivity, friendliness and culinary variety. Both the organisation team and the participants and committee were impressed by the outstanding quality of the catering.
