With its MesseQuartier Basel initiative (or MQ for short), MCH Group has created space for fresh ideas and enriching encounters. Located in the area around Messe und Congress Center Basel, the MQ invites people to come by and spend time there while also experiencing the regular highlights it stages.
Temporary attractions and permanent features draw local residents and international guests alike to Exhibition Square. As a place for encounters and a vibrant meeting point for young and old, the MQ has something to offer everyone with a wide range of gastronomic and leisure options. People come here for drinks at the Bambusnest in a relaxed atmosphere, for Sunday visits to an exhibition with the family or for a convivial round of padel tennis after work. Art and cultural exhibitions, concerts, sports, trade fairs and specialist conferences – a wide range of leisure and dining options ensure there is something to everyone’s taste.

At the moment “Jurassic World: The Exhibition” with its life-size dinosaurs and action-packed interactive features is attracting people to the MQ. Visitors still have time until 9 March to immerse themselves in this fascinating world of dinosaurs.
In April, we will be presenting a spring festival of a special kind with the Spring Music Session. The public can look forward to aspiring newcomers, familiar bands and musical surprises of the indie, electronic and pop genres. In July, we are a host city for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025. In anticipation of this football spectacle, we have installed an artificial-turf soccer court on Exhibition Square, where people big and small can enjoy a game of football.
